FW - 1st tasting : Mouton Cadet 2016
- 1st tasting : Mouton Cadet 2016 -
This wine comes from the winery Mouton Cadet, located in Bordeaux (France). This wine is composed by Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Alcohol rate: 13,5%.
1st step: The visual
- Acidity: the tears in the glass are quite fast and slightly greasy, giving us an acidity of about 3/5 and a sugar level of about 2.5/5.
- Age: We have a wine here that is burgundy in colour, blood red, I would say it is rather young.
2nd step: The olfactory
- Without stirring the wine: I can recognize fruity aromas, a predominance of blackberry and a slight reflection of ethanol.
- After stirring the wine: I can definitely smell notes of strawberry and raspberry, fruity aromas are stronger than before and the ethanol smell has now disappeared.
3rd step: The gustatory
- The attack: We have an aggressive attack showing a fairly high level of acidity.
- The mid-mouth: I can recognize a slight oak barrel taste, fruity aromas with the same fruits previously stated, no bitterness.
- The final: A sweet finish with a raspberry aftertaste that lasts for a long time.
Finally, we can say that it's a interesting wine with fruity aromas, but which is, I think too young and which need between 1 or 2 years more to be drunk.
